Illucid
[ stallion | independent | criminal ]
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
No. No.. nope. Something was wrong. What's this? Not right. No. Illucid was being squeezed from the insides, or that's how it felt. It didn't take them long to be attacked, the ghosts entering his body. Can't breathe. Help. Illucid gasped, sucking in a painful breath. There was no space. Why isn't there space? Why can't I breathe? His blue eyes were wide and filled to the brim with absolute fear. Panic? Don't panic. The young stallion wasn't even sure he understood what was happening. He didn't fear much, but now he feared his life. Can't die. Don't die. Ouch. A strange thought, as the first Novein dug it's teeth into his flesh, tearing apart his obviously useless cloak. His head whipped around, alarmed, but they were everywhere now. He was being brutally attacked, as were his companions. His jaws parted, but there was no sound. Illucid tried to move, but he only stumbled, legs snapping awkwardly. Can't move. Why not? Don't panic.
Crumbling, Illucid crashed to his knees, taking each hit from the Novein while struggling against the ghosts that had taken over his body. Helpless. Stupid. Pain. The pain was unbelievable. It made him grit his teeth, the whites of his eyes flashing. He was bleeding all over himself, spilling it onto the cave floor. He remembered thinking briefly that he should have listened. Should have listened to Miraphy. Stupid. He glanced towards the entrance of the cave, but his body had smashed onto the ground, all strength drained. Why won't they stop? Illucid stared, motionless, unable to move his limbs. The pain was absolutely numbing on top of it all.
There was nothing he could do. This was it. He'd gone too far this time. Unable to breathe, unable to move, unable to defend himself against these creatures as they attacked and abused body. He was going to die in a pool of his own blood. The edge's of Illucid's vision began to blur. Fight. Keeping fighting. I can't die. Not yet.

Calypso | Unseelie
"I thought we had a deal,.." Calypso said with a sigh. It was said, that she wouldn't blow up their cover and so won't they, but it looked like the deal was broken now when Ellie spoke out loud that Calypso was a half demon. How foolish. she thought. The mare wanted to say something but she changed her mind when some horses walked into the cave. At first, she was surprised, but somehow it was just funny how naive they were. Walking into such a dangerous cave, without a plan or knowledge. Maybe now they would actually see how weak they were. "Well, then I don't need this anymore I guess." the knabstrupper mare said with a cheeky grin, as she dissolves her illusion spell. Everyone around her could now see her horn and she was more than proud to be different. To be something more than a weak mortal. "Oh and, don't play surprised. After all, you and your two friends aren't mortals either." Calypso said while looking to Jeweline. Serket probably knew it from the start, but Cornelia's reaction would be priceless. If she wouldn't be too surprised about Calypso's appearance.
In the time, the mares wanted to start a rescue action, although they would risk their own lives? Annoyed Calypso rolled her eyes. On one side, she wanted to see them fail and end up just as their friends, but on the other side, it was the perfect opportunity to show them her power. It would be even funnier if it wold be her who would save their weak butts. "Don't get too excited about this, I'm still here." Calypso added, to make clear that she's not planning to leave. "As Serket said, we are now the ones who have to save the almighty and so powerful warriors. You didn't saw that coming, huh?" the half demon said with a grin, obviously happy about the situation. At least the two mares who held her for trash and were so convinced about their powers and strength would now be rescued by Calypso. Such an irony.

Serket| Witch
"Getting them out of there seems like a good idea, but not a plan. If we rush in there without a proper plan, we won't end up much better, so what's on your mind, witch? You're the ghost expert and I kinda know something about Novein. Whatever is known about them anyway. I cannot promise I'll be able to handle them, but I have a mountain ash lop on me, so that might help. It helps against a lot of supernatural creatures anyway." Jeweline answered Serket and also the shy paintmare answered her: "Uhm, my ears are okay. I just need a moment. Everything is a little fuzzy right now. And yes, I'll help. I can't do much but...I'll try." She looked to both of you and when Cornelia also said, she wan´t to help, she moved her head to her little friend and smiled. ..She gets more and more adult, in the way she´s thinking, I´m kinda proud of her...
She was thinking about the plan and also thinking about the facts, they got. .. All of the strong ghost are gone, okay most of them, I can´t hear Vaarl in the cave, but the other ghost allready attacking the other mages... hmm .. While she was thinking Calypso changed her look. The Witch moved her head to the half demon: "This is way more fitting to a half demon. I thought you would be more kind of a Half demon-khelpie mix, I had never thought about an mortal mix" She said. When Calypso said, she´s still in, Serket also noticed the smile and the way Callie was rolling her eyes before. ... Even if your agree to help, I´m not sure, if your helping us, when We are lost in the cave. Your a playfull and wycked lady, aren´t you ? Gladly I´m one of your kind ..
She turned to Jews with a smirk on her face : "You said mountain ash right? Well, I think I have a plan." Now she was speaking to the whole group, "We need mountain ash, can someone try to find some more? maybe Mira ? I´m sure you knew the woods as good as I am", she said to the paint mare and winkend at her. "The plan is to make a small fire at the entrace with the berries. The smoke helps against ghost... the berries itself don´t protect that much against them." She looked to everyone:"is it okay for you ? oh and I´m note sure about the novein, I thought about the things they were saying and about the things I saw and I kinda think, they only attack us, because of their younglings...I think the cave is a nest... and they may eat the ghost to protect themself .... "

Sorry for the horribly long break. Real life got heavily in the way but I had my last exam yesterday and so I'm ready to continue these in full swing now. ;W; It also took me a while to find a solution to the dilemma in this plot, since I don't want anyone to die but I also don't want to deus ex machina my way out of it, so here we go with Plan A by Jeweline. Of course the others can disagree, through the mountain ash fire was set in advance, as Serket suggested it. Whatever follows is up to you ;D Either follow Jeweline's plan or think of another solution to save both the eggs and the three unlucky horses in the cave.
Jeweline | Warrior
Don’t get flustered. Don’t. Get. Flustered. It’s just another Sylk and you could deal with that nitwit too! Jeweline told herself after listening to Calypso’s rambles. The half demon mare seriously started to get on her nerves, but it wasn’t like such characters were foreign to her, especially as a warrior of the Verensa Herd. Pride often rose to some warriors’ heads. Mix that with vanity and cynicism and you got another unbearable annoyance added to your life. The palomino had no time to get worked up about it though. Time was running out and she had to save the three equines in that cave somehow. As much as she knew what would help, the wish of a spell book would not make one magically appear. What she needed was to use her resources! She got a witch, a half demon and a lop of mountain ash. Now what to do with it? She glanced over to the two younger mares, Cornelia and Miraphy, considering what they could do. Cornelia didn’t have any magical abilities that could help and her advanced hearing ability would rather be a disadvantage to Miraphy right now than it was a help. Jeweline frowned, thinking over what Serket said. The Novein were protecting their nests, but they also protected the three equines that were currently attacked by the ghosts. So, if the nests would be safe, the Novein could focus on driving out the ghosts and save the possessed ones! The palomino mare turned around to the cave so fast that it almost gave her whiplash. That was it! A grin spread on her face as the pieces fell together in her head. “Okay, listen up!”, Jeweline said and turned around to the others again. “This might be risky, but if it works, we’re saving everyone and get rid of the ghosts for good!” Turning towards Serket she added. “The ones that are keen on possessing mortals that is. The Novein said that they wouldn’t harm those that are kind to mortals, so – Vaarl was his name, right? – will be safe too.” She held up the mountain ash lop as if the sole little thing was the key to their victory. “We need more of this and do as Serket said. Burning it should create a smoke barrier that keeps the ghosts, and just them, in.” She then looked to Cornelia and Miraphy. “You two will then lie down close to the cave next to each other, trying to form a nest with your bodies. I will then levitate the Novein eggs out and you two keep them safe and warm. That way the Novein can concentrate on the ghosts without having to worry about their young.” Lastly, she turned to Serket and Calypso. “Then we three try to drag the others out of the cave once the Novein cleansed them. I should be able to heal them then.” Jeweline knew that this was not ideal, but at least it was a plan and she didn’t see the others coming up with something better beyond starting the mountain ash fire.

Miraphy | Witch
After Jeweline announced the plan, Miraphy felt determination course through her. Finding mountain ash and keeping eggs safe. Yes, she was confident that she could do that! Silently beckoning Cornelia to follow her, to help her carry the mountain ash, she dashed off into the woods. Finding mountain ash was easy for her. She knew where it grew, having used it plenty of times to protect herself from various evils. Also, her magpie liked the berries. It took only a few minutes until they stumbled upon a tree. Miraphy quickly broke off a few branches and tossed them to the smaller mare. “Take as many as you can and run back to the cave”, she said, after having tossed Cornelia as much as the brown mare could carry. She then proceeded to rip off branches she could carry herself. She knew it would be better for the tree to cut off the branches, but she only had a mushroom knife with her, and that wouldn’t be sharp enough to do that. In as much as a hurry as they were, she couldn’t really consider it anyways. With as many branches as she could carry in her mouth, she turned and galloped back to the clearing with the cave. Together with what Cornelia had carried, there were enough branches there now to make a fire. “And now?” Miraphy asked nervously as she looked at the branches in front of her. To her surprise, Jeweline cringed a little before she spoke. “And now, one of you has to lit this damn wood. I’m a water mage.”

Cornelia | Poor (Nordberg)
Cornelia was surprised by Calypso's horn. Not shocked. They were not commen in cities, but there was no way to find them in any other city. Nordberg was the most openminded city when it came to things like that. But still, they were kept in the poor part of the city. They were not common, but she had seen them before. Still, she felt the small fear in herself. She forced herself to calm down. Being afraid of Calypso was no mistake, she had proven that many times this day, but not because of the horn. That was against Cornelia's main ideology. Don't judge on the blood, but the person. They did not choose what blood to have running indside of them, she thought. Also, there was too much going on now. They had to do something about the people in the cave.
Cornelia kept quitet in all the chaos. She felt like she needed some kind of overview. As she looked around, her eyes fell on Jeweline. She was looking like she was thinking. She suddenly smiled. She got it, Cornelia thought. "Okay, Listen up!" she heard the warrior mare say, sounding like a general in a warzone. And Cornelia was listening and heard every word as if she was a soldier herself.
As soon as Jeweline was done speaking, Cornelia and Miraphy was on their way to the nearest tree with maountain ash. Miraphy looked like she knew where she was going, so Cornelia just followed. She did recognize the area as they ran, but decided that this was not the time to look back at memories. Before Cornelia could do anything, Miraphy was already breaking of the branches and giving them to her. “Take as many as you can and run back to the cave” Miraphy said, and so Cornelia did. Not a single twing fell of the way back. When she returned, she only got the put them all down in front of the cave, before Miraphy came with the rest of them. “And now?” the shy mare asked. “And now, one of you has to lit this damn wood. I’m a water mage.” Jezeline said. No problem, Cornelia thought. She opened a small bag she had. She did not have many things in it: a too smal purse, her little bag of metal pieces and other small things. But she did have something to start a fire. She took it up and started. "It is impossible to survive the night on the streets without some warm up here in the north." Cornelia said, as she focused on starting the fire. It did not take her many tries before a small flame started to lighten up.

Jynx/Ellie|Scout
Ellie was aware that she was not fully conscious, somehow it did not matter. She could feel the Noviens tearing at her body, she could hear the screams of Jynx and the others as if they were far away or under water. She couldn't feel the insanity inducing pain anymore, her body simply refused to register it. She could still feel the burning sensation and the insesisnt tugging of the Novien's teeth. She could also hear the ghosts, closer than the screams, as they shrieked and cursed the Noviens. She could hear Jynx cursing at the ghosts trying to force them out herself. Ellie knew they were drifting in and out of consciousness and there was nothing she could do to stop it. She had lost all sense of time, how long had she been here on the ground? Months? Days? Hours? She could only pray those outside moved quickly. She was sure they couldn't take much more.

Calypso | Unseelie
Calypso listened to Jeweline's plan and decided to just play along. For now she didn't have any task and just waited for the two mares to finish their jobs. At least this two also need to feel useful, right? The half-demon started to think about what will happen after they rescued Jeweline's stupid and foolish friends. Should she just leave? Without a teaching them a lesson, that it wasn't really wise to behave like this to someone like her. At some points, they went too far with their stupid insults and Calypso regrets not taking action. They would deserve to bleed! As one of the horses set the wood on fire, the mare snapped out of her thoughts. It looked like they managed to do something useful at the end.
