2 person Roleplay Faolan (slave) | Lilafly Axel (Soldier) | Dragonwarlordess
Faolan | Slave The stallion stood awkwardly where he was, while the not-slaves, who had somewhere to belong, were taken to safety. One of them, a young mare who was almost still a child, seemed to be especially frightened and she only let the female guards go near her. Understandably. Faolan had seen what the vendors had done to the poor thing. After the client, she had been meant for, had denied her, saying that she did not fit his description, the vendors had gotten angry for all their work to be for naught. They had let that anger out on the mare, doing horrifying things to her no one should ever have to witness. She was beyond frightened now and would probably need psychological help for the rest of her life. Her family was dead. The slave vendors had killed them in order to get her without having to worry being followed. She had nowhere to return to. Faolan watched as she was taken away and out of sight. While he was as thin and sickly looking as her due to the lack of food and the lack of any kind of treatment, he at least still was more or less alright. He felt very sorry for the mare but knew that he was not allowed to show that. The question now was, what to do? He was a slave, had always been. There was no place for him and he also did not want to be free. It made him happy to serve a master because it gave him a purpose. Without one, he was just a nobody. A tool that could be replaced. As all captives of the caravan were taken care of, the guards turned their attention to the thin draft stallion with the much too small black leather bridle that had left some spots on his head bloody with gashes. He knew that he had no right to talk, at least not until he was asked a question, so he did not dare to speak up and state his case. "What is your name, sir?" One of the guards suddenly asked him. Sir. He had never been called that. It felt wrong. "Faolan." He replied with a voice that was scratchy from thirst. "And your last name?" The guard asked further. Faolan shook his head. "I have none. My rank is that of a slave." The stallion said to clear the confusion. "Not anymore, you are free to do what you want now." The guard replied, seemingly confused. "I wish nothing else but to serve a master and I will accept whatever home is given to me." He did not expect any of the guards to be so generous to offer him a home immediately, but perhaps they knew of a noble or even just a Middle-Class person who could use a slave like him.

Axel | Soldier
Axel had been in the background working to get the other slaves where they needed to go though he was still listening to the conversation the other guards were holding. He looked over the stallion from where he was before speaking up above the other soldiers. "I'll take him" , the other guards looked at him, they knew not to question him and stepped out of his way as he approached. Axel looked the slave in the eyes, no one should have to endure what this stallion had been through, no one better understood that than he. As he stood in front of the slave those close by seemed to keep quiet or only speak at a meer whisper. Axel's gruff voice added to his serious nature but his words were not nearly as harsh as usual, it was pretty much the end of his shift since he worked the early shift.
"Follow me Faolan, I'll get you situated." Once they were a fair distance from the other guards Axel decided to take the back alleys to his home. He slowed to walk beside the slave that he had taken under his care and spoke casually to him, his voice quieter than earlier. "First things first you are free to speak to whomever you wish whenever you wish, you'll have complete access to everything and everywhere in the house including the gardens, upper level rooms, and the rooftop. You'll never have to worry about food or care, you'll get plenty of that. Once we get to my home we'll get that bridle off of you and those wounds taken care of, then we'll get you a proper cloak. Any questions so far?"
He glanced over at Faolan before looking forward again, it wouldn't be long and they would be near his home. He was actually starting to think having a slave, a freed slave, work for him would be a nice change. Ace wouldn't have to do so much work and there would be someone to care for his home while he was on duty or pulling an all nighter.

Faolan | Slave
As one of the guards suddenly spoke up, Faolan was a little surprised, but also happy. This would spare him of yet another stay on a slave market and would give him a home immediately. He only wished that the poor young mare would find something equally good and better. She deserved it more than he did. Faolan followed the grey stallion with a nod and kept silent. As his new master started to speak again, Faolan was more than just a little surprised when he was offered that much freedom at once and even a cloak. It was definitely an offer too generous to accept, but he had to obey. Against his better judgement, he bit his lip and eventually started to speak. He knew he shouldn't talk back, but when the stallion had offered to give him a proper cloak, Faolan had started to feel more than just a little uneasy. “As you wish, master,” Faolan said respectfully. “Though if I may be so rude to mention that a cloak is most unbefitting of someone with a rank such as mine. A new bridle is all I need. It would be an honour to me to wear it. I hope this doesn't conflict with your wishes. I, of course, will be most happy to do what you ask of me.” The draft stallion said and bowed his head respectfully and at the same time also submissively. It would be wrong in so many ways if he would suddenly start wearing a cloak. Clothing was for the people above him. As a slave, he was merely a tool belonging to someone and a bridle showed that ownership. He was proud of such an ownership and therefore would be more than just happy to also show the world that he would belong to this noble stallion. He would, however, change his ideals if his new master wished otherwise.

Axel | Soldier
Axel sighed as he pushed open the gate that lead to his home and gardens, "If all you wish is a new bridle then I shall get you a new one, but you are always welcome to more if you wish. I guess you are right in that it would be improper for a slave to wear a cloak, if you haven't noticed I'm much more generous than most and more often than not I do not follow the social norms of the city, though I do put on the front of what is expected."
When Axel entered the main room of his home he almost had to chuckle to himself, for being such high class his home was sparsely decorated and what he did have was not high end like most other homes. Sure he had nice stuff and other things to decorate and fill the space, he just hadn't had the time to move everything around. He left Fao in the main room and turned for a moment, "I'll be right back feel free to look around." Axel made a quick run across the street to retrieve Evanna and her raccardi Estelle. He then returned to his home and back to Fao. "Faolan, this is a close family friend of mine, Evanna. She's a healer, if you wouldn't mind I'd like her to take a look at gashes from your old bridle. Evanna, this is my slave Faolan." He hated using the word himself, he thought of slaves as people too but that wasn't what most people thought. Before Fao could object Axel continued. "And before you make a fuss about me bringing her here she's not just here to see you."
Again Axel was great at putting on fronts, no one on the guard had noticed he was injured which is great in one way but not so much in others. He could care less if Fao saw all the scars, after all Fao was his new slave and he did deserve to know. Axel closed the front door and returned to the center of the room near the little table where Evanna had laid out her things. Ace had come downstairs to see what was going on and happily went to assist Estelle in staring at Axel and waiting for commands. Before Axel could speak again Evana took a step towards him and spoke, she was more than enough to make him flinch. "Before I go looking at your new slave, I am going to deal with that wound of yours. You have been avoiding me since you got it yesterday and I need to look at it. I know very well how stubborn you are, at least this time you didn't cauterize the wound before I got to it, do you have any idea how much harder it makes my job when you do that. And another thing, why in the world did you grow that beard, you look ridiculous."
Axel didn't object, she would get her way eventually if he didn't listen. He unclasped his cloak and hung it on a wall hook revealing his mass amount of scars. Before Evana could do anything Axel had to unclip his leather shoulder holster that held his knives, Once that was removed it revealed the worst of his wound. The white bandages were soaked pink from where the leather of the holster had rubbed against the wound. Axel groaned as she removed the bandages from the wound, obviously this was something that had been hurting long before now but he never showed it. Estelle and Ace helped remove the bandages gently pulling them from the wound that was now red and raw. Evana cleaned the wound and put a salve on it before instructing Axel to let it dry before she would put fresh bandages on it.
"Now Evana if you're done fussing over me could you please look Faolan over for me."

Faolan | Slave
Faolan was glad that his new master agreed to only getting him a new bridle. Everything else would look weird on him, he thought. As they entered the glorious house, Faolan looked around and tried to hide the awe he felt. He had never been in a noble home in Monabur before and even though it was simple, it still seemed very nice. The stallion was left behind in the middle of what seemed to be the main room with the allowance to look around. While he did not move, he still regarded the room he stood in with growing interest. It took a few minutes, but eventually, the grey stallion returned with someone else in tow. He introduced the mare as Evanna, who was a healer and Faolan nodded in reply to that respectfully. He, however, was surprised to find out that the soldier himself had been hurt. He hadn't noticed, and that even though he had his fair-share experience with injuries. He watched Evanna and the two Raccardis work. When they seemed to be finished, they grey stallion asked for Faolan to be checked. The slave lowered his head a little so that it would be easier for the healer to reach. Removing the bridle was a task he could not do himself. He had neither hands like a Raccardi nor magic at his disposal to do so. He just hoped that the Raccardis would get the old leather thing off at all. He had worn it for several moons without a break after all, after the last one he had worn, which fortunately had been too big, had ripped. Apart from being a bother when it came to the medical treatment, the stallion hoped that he would not cause trouble with his coat being filthy and his hooves cracked. He needed a bath more than anything, but he was not in a position to ask for one. If his new master would see it fit, then he would surely order him to do so. This whole home was new to him, so Faolan did not want to take any chances.

Axel | Soldier
Axel could see that Ace and Estelle were having trouble getting the bridle off so Axel decided to help. He pulled one of his knives from the belt he lay on the table, gently he slid the blade under a section of the bridle that wasn't too snug on his face and gently cut through the leather. It wasn't too hard to cut through since Axel kept his blades sharp. He returned the blade to his belt and turned back to Fao. Evana made quick work of fixing up his wounds before she gathered her things and left, Ace could wrap his wound later, for now he was to stay home and let the wound air dry. Once she was gone Axel let himself smile before he looked at Fao.
"The bath is down the hall on the right if you want. Your room will be the first door on the left right before the hall, I just have to move some things and it'll be all yours. And since I haven't introduced you yet, this is Ace, feel free to make friends with him. He's as much part of my family as will be, no need to be uncomfortable around me you'll find I'm usually very open and blunt."
Axel proceeded to move boxes of things from what he'd used as his room for years and put them in the master bedroom upstairs. He's slowly been working on the room and it was nearly ready except for some larger furniture that needed moved to the main room downstairs. Once he was back downstairs he grabbed fresh bedding from the closet under the stairs lay them on the bed in the room that was empty except for a small tapestry on the wall that had was the flag of the city. Since he was home bound for the rest of the day Axel took the free time to cook a decent meal. Using fresh vegetables and herbs from his garden he made a stew for himself and Faolan, he returned to the main room and leaned his good shoulder on the door frame. He knew how he wanted to set up the room and now with Fao he would have help moving the furniture. He was happy that he'd worked hard enough and could say that he had finished his guest room, study/library, storage closets, and rooms downstairs. All he had left was a few things in the master bedroom and the main room downstairs. After a few moments Axel returned to the kitchen to dish out stew for them all to enjoy. Once he had it sitting out on the counter he called to Fao and Ace not knowing where in the house they were.
"Ace, Faolan lunch is ready if you guys are hungry."
