Ellie|Scout Ellie had also over heard the mare with the chime talking to, what seemed, herself. Ellie had grinned a little. “At least I won’t be the only one.” Odd people didn’t bother her, neither did creepy people. It was normal folks that messed her up. Another hooded figure moved forward and Ellie, sighed, speaking of creepy people.
“Room for one more?” He asked. Ellie nodded slowly as she informed her team mates. “He is mortal and has no magic at all so he shouldn’t be too much trouble for us.” The other hooded member of their newly formed group sidled over to the new comer and attempted conversation. Maybe she felt she could relate to someone who felt the need to hide. The chimes sounded again. The mare was on the move. She walked over the young mare, and Ellie mentally praised herself for guessing they knew each other. After a brief exchange the mare with chimes looked at Jeweline and Dawn.
"I want to join, I live in this forest and well, I have friends on the other side, I´m sure, you know what I mean." Ellie nearly squealed in excitement. Things like that had always fascinated her. She knew it was possible to speak with the dead but there had to be a balance of dark and light magic. In Ellie’s case, she would need to have the help of a dark mage to get anything done. Jeweline answered the mare.
"Well, that is...uncommon." she seemed uncomfortable "We'd really appreciate your help, as long as your friends do not...well...do something disturbing, or whatever the dead do." Ellie stifled a giggle. It was kinda funny to see Jeweline who was so confident be so uncomfortable. Ellie stepped forward and spoke to the mare.
“I must say that is fascinating.” It was hard not to let her excitement show. “I’d love to hear more about it as we travel.” Ellie hoped she hadn’t seemed to eager. Things like this creeped normal people out. Ellie adopted her most winning and easy-to-get-along-with attitude before calling to the little group.
“If everyone who wants to go search for the thief could come in a little closer.” She paused to give them a chance to move before she continued. “Since I know I don’t know many of you, and I’m sure you don’t know me I thought maybe I should introduce myself and the team I am with.” She mentally apologized to Dawn for taking over for a second, but this could possibly gain trust, or at least get them to open up a bit, and put them at ease. And if they were going to work as a team, that needed to happen. “I am Elicia, but everyone calls me Ellie.” She smiled her friendliest smile. “I’m the team’s tracker and, well nerd.” She turned to Jeweline. “Most of you have met Jeweline, she is a warrior, if the swords didn’t give that away.” Ellie walked over to Dawn and stood beside her. “And this is Dawn, she is a warrior, and this team’s leader. She will be leading this excursion, so anyone who may have a problem with that should probably stay here.” She looked at the spotted mare and the hooded stallion as she said that last bit. Those two were the most likely to cause problems. “If this is everyone, we can finish introductions on the road. Dawn if you have anything to say before we move out?” Ellie dipped her head to Dawn respectfully. She never did that any other time but wanted to be sure everyone in this group knew who was in charge and that she was worth respecting. She waited for Dawn to speak.

Dawn | Warrior
Dawn listened intently as everyone spoke, getting a brief hint at many of the strange ones in the group. When Jeweline suggested they move on, she was about to agree when Ellie took charge for a moment. Though she didn't ask permission she did apologize and Dawn knew it was a way of making the trip feel a little safer and easier for her to deal with. The brief show of respect from Ellie was strange for Dawn but she understood the reasoning behind it and went with it. Before anyone could say anything else Dawn spoke to the group.
"Alright, with that out of the way let's get a move on. We shouldn't waste anymore time here."
She led the group into the woods where the tracks of the creature were last seen, this would be the best place to start since there was actual evidence. Hopefully the weather and travelers hadn't worn down the tracks too much since it happened, it would make things a bit easier for the group to track, but one never knew what would happen when it came to tracking. Thankfully they had Ellie with them to help with that a bit, though Dawn was a good tracker she had to admit that Ellie as a Scout was quite a bit better at it than she.

Calypso | Unseelie
Calypso smiled at the palomino mare, as they would be great friends. She liked to play with others and confuse them. A mare with wind chimes got her attention, as soon as she stopped by the formed group of volunteers. She spoke quite weird, although Calypso knew what she meant with her last sentence. It could easily be just a lie. Why would someone join a group of strangers and tell them there biggest secret that would probably every mortal freak out. It's not like communicating with dead people was something normal. But the spotted mare knew that this Serket wasn't lying at all. She was quite special with her magic and abilities, that made Calypso carious. That's gonna be fun with such an interesting group! she thought with a smirk, as she looked at everyone.
Later even a stallion wanted to join the group, but he was not really interesting for Calypso. A normal mortal, how weak. she thought and didn't even look at him. As the the pinto mare started to speak and introduced her and two other mares, the knabstrupper mare looked at them. Jeweline, Elicia and Dawn. Calypso repeat the names in her mind to memorize them better. "Nice to meet you all." she said with a grin. "My name is Calypso. I hope we can work peacefully together. Just don't come in my way, okay?". The sentence was quite bitchy, but the spotted mare made it sound like a request with her friendly voice. She didn't cared how they understood her words. She just wanted to make clear to not interrupt her actions.
As soon as they started walking, Calypso tried to stay close to the group - walking more front, so the others won't get to suspicious about her.

Cornelia | Poor
"Nice to meet you all." a mare said. The one some from the original group had been keeping a close eye on. "My name is Calypso. I hope we can work peacefully together. Just don't come in my way, okay?". Cornelia did not like Calypso. She was... odd. On a way did she did not feel pleasant to her. She could feel her threaten behind the words she said, and she was not a fan of people doing that. The play with words to show power or to get respect. Rich people did that all the time, at her part of the city, rarely. When you think something, you say it. You do not need any fancy way to say it, just to show you are better than someone. Cornelia was not very happy about the whole introduction thing. She rarely did mind gettig attention, but it was slighly... embarrassing when almost everyone around her were grown up adults, and a lot of them was good with magic. She loved magic, she had always been fascinated by it, and she was hoping that she would get to see some of them doing it later. She had Serket, and she had seen her do it several times . But there was rarely this mane mages together like this! Cornelia was relieved over that they finally was going somwhere, since she liked to walk around the forest. This was not a nice walk in the forest, but still, she did like being there. She stayed close to Serket. Really close. She figured to take advantage of the fact she knew somebody in the group already. Also, she simply liked being with Serket. "Soooo, what are you gonna do with the wind chimes? I don't think it would be a great idea to take them into the forest. Can... what is his name, 'Vaarl'? Can he take them?", she said with a smile. "What are they for anyway?", she asked Serket, since it was kind of odd walking around in Nordberg with wind chimes.

Serket|Witch
The pintaloosa mare giggled. "Oh don´t worry, they don´t harm anyone, as long as I don´t tell them to do so.", she answered Jeweline.
“I must say that is fascinating.I’d love to hear more about it as we travel.” Serket looked at Ellie and layed her head a little bit to the side. "Is it ? Well, if your interested, we can talk about it.", she answered the pinto mare.
Serket listened to Ellie and Dawn. Okay, so they seem to be something more special... I wish Vaarl could tell me more about them.. , she thought. The witch looked at Calypso, when she started to introduce herself. "My name is Calypso. I hope we can work peacefully together. Just don't come in my way, okay?". Serket closed the eyes a little bit and looked serious towards Calypso. Okay, now I´m sure your from Jengu or a similiar place. I´ll keep an eye on you and I need to be sure, one of my ghost is near, to help me, if something happens... But it´s still interesting. Why is the mare, why is Calypso here and why would she want to help?
Serket looked to Cornelia. The main reason for joining the group, was this mare. She don´t want her to be alone, with a group like this and the second reason was the mystery. If Vaarl was sure, it wasn´t a normal citizien, she want to know, what kind of creature it is. Soooo, what are you gonna do with the wind chimes? I don't think it would be a great idea to take them into the forest. Can... what is his name, 'Vaarl'? Can he take them?", she said with a smile. "What are they for anyway? Serket looked for a short moment surprised. "Oh, they were for you. I wanted to gift them to you and you can sell them. But your right, it´s not a good idea to walk with them, to the forest. But sadly, Vaarl is not able to take them.. But I know someone, but he´s not he.... of I´m wrong ... "She said. In this moment a dark stallion with grey mane and wide grin appeared. "Ey Sirks! What´s up ? Haven´t seen you in a long time! Tell me, that´s going on!", he started, then he looked to everybody in the group. He raised his fuzzy eyebrows, when he looked at Jeweline, Dawn and Calypso. "Damn girl, Sirks, you didn´t tell me, you have so beautiful friends!" She smiled to the girls "Hey, I am Tito and .." He wasn´t able to end his sentences, ´cause Serket bite into his ear. "Ough!" "Tito! Move away or I kick your ass to the moon !"She yelled at him. His reaction was normal for him: He smiled even wider "Yes Ma´am!" Serket rolled her eyes. "Oh and take the wind chimes with you and bring them to my house!" He nodded, took the wind chimes and danced away. Serket rolled her eyes again.Sometimes, he was annoying.
When they walked, she decided to be at the end. She hated to be the leader of a group.

Illucid [ stallion | independent | criminal ] - - - - - - - - - - - - - Something wasn't right. Eyes once again scanning the little search party, Illucid came to the horrifying conclusion that he was the only stallion. The only one. As if things couldn't have gotten anymore awkward for him. It was bad enough that they were all strangers. Perhaps he could sneak away or just downright say he changed his mind. But then he'd feel guilty leaving the group. Not that he didn't think they were fine on their own. Hell, half the group had weird vibes that gave the young stallion chills. They would probably have to look out for him. Unfortunately he was a mere horse with no magic ability whatsoever.
This plan was quickly put to rest by the approach of the hooded mare he had noticed earlier. How was he going to talk to them without looking like a complete idiot? He almost hoped they wouldn't be relying on him to do any big bad stallion type stuff. All the buckskin was good for was getting himself into dangerous situations. For fun. Definitely not leader material. So when the mare approached, Illucid's body tensed. He prayed she wasn't about to ask him to lead the way.
Oh. Oh. Illucid did know who this was. He'd run into this mare before. Quite literally. By the sound of her question, it appeared that she hadn't recognized him either. Should he leave it that way? He wasn't entirely sure. But, she sounded as nervous as he felt, and that made him feel a little better. "N-no," he replied, silently cursing himself for the uneven tone of voice. He almost had to force the words. "I haven't had anything stolen." Illucid was, in fact, generally the one doing the stealing. This made him a huge hypocrite.

Miraphy | Witch
When the stallion spoke, she noticed a certain familiarity in his voice, but she could not quite place it. She hoped it wouldn't be a person who had tried to her her caught and burned on the stick once. That would make this whole trip dangerous in more than just one way. But he wore a hood himself, so maybe he had something to hide too? Miraphy thought about encounters she has had with people who'd have to hide their face and only a few names came up. But as long as she was not completely sure, she just wanted to keep up the conversation. "Why do you come with us then?" She asked curiously and prayed that he did not have some kind of dark intentions.
Speaking of dark intentions, the spotted, purple eyed mare had made her point very clear in that regard. While what she said sounded polite in tone, the meaning of the words stood in stark contrast to that. "Just don't come in my way, okay?" That sounded very much like a threat. The paint mare was scared of what could happen if someone did indeed happen to get in her way. But judging by Jeweline's cold gaze, the armed equine was not gonna let Claypso have any of that. That at least as reassuring.
When stey eventually departed, Miraphy kept walking next to the stallion and behind Dawn, Jeweline, Ellie and Calypso. She didn't want to mingle with the Knabstrupper mare, so keeping her distance was probably the best. Also if that meant to have Serket right behind her. It made her feel a little uncomfortable, but judging by the conversation she held with Cornelia, she didn't seem to be that bad and evil after all. The melodic cling clang of the wind chimes accompanied them when they walked through the city gate and into the forest. As the pine trees swallowed them and darkened her surroundings, Miraphy felt a little more at peace. She was used to the forest and found it much more comfortable to be in that the city, where she was always out in the open.
Suddenly a grey stallion with a white mane appeared seemingly out of nowhere. Apparently he was a friend of Serket and he didn't lose any time to compliment the obviously good-looking mares at the front. Now Miraphy was more glad than ever to have her hood up. He might have had a comment in store about her unusual mane colour or her two-coloured eyes. She didn't need that kind of attention. Further yet, she didn't need any attention at all. Especially not by this stallion who, judging by his fangs, was not entirely normal either. "Tito! Move away or I kick your ass to the moon!" Serket yelled at him which made Miraphy giggle. Hearing something like this with Serket's voice made it sound even funnier. The stallion - Tito - didn't seem to mind much though and took her wind chimes when he departed again. Once he was gone, Miraphy released a sigh of relief she had not been aware she was holding. This kind of stallions always made her feel very uncomfortable. And at least the wind chimes were gone now. While the red-maned mare had enjoyed the sound of them, it might really hinder them in their excursion, as Ellie had called it earlier.
Miraphy suddenly froze and turned her gaze skywards. There had been a noise. A noise she had heard before in the last few days, but only deeper in the forest. Until a few days ago she had never heard it before, which made her wonder what it was. It was an animal cry of some sort, but unlike any she had ever heard. With the sudden movement, her hood fell off, exposing her unusual looks to the others. Oh no. She thought in a panic, but even if she'd put up her hood again now, the damage was already done. Forgotten was the strange animal cry, which she doubted the others had heard, since she had particulary good ears - one of the perks of being a druid, for sure. She bit her lip and cast her look down, hoping no one would make a pejorative comment.

Jeweline | Warrior
Jeweline was glad that Ellie handled the situation much better than she had. Scouts and their weird nerdy interests. She thought in slight amusement. She only thought it to be creepy to be able to speak with ghosts, but if Ellie was interested in it, then that meant that at least Jeweline did not have to talk about it. A weird fascination of dark arts by a Seelie. It reminded her a lot of Arisa and her endless research of curses and summoning rituals. The thought made her smile a little. But the smile didn't last long.
"Just don't come in my way, okay?" Jeweline suddenly had the strong urge to kick that arrogant mare in the face. She threw Calypso an ice cold stare, while she more than before had the urge to draw her swords. It was one of her weaknesses. Stupid talk she could deal with, but threats were another thing. How did her mother always say? Sometimes the only thing one could do was to fight fire with fire. Jeweline threw the spotted mare a friendly grin, which was so obviously forced that it looked scary. "Then just make sure to not get in my way either, otherwise I cannot guarantee if it's a monster or you who kisses my blades." She said in a friendly tone. If Jason would have been present, she would have earned herself a warning punch in the side for that. He was way better with handling such situations in a non-aggressive way. Jeweline on the other hand...not so much. But Dawn couldn't really blame her, could she? Such an attitude would scare the whole group and Jeweline hoped that her counter-theat was at least reassuring them that she would handle this ill-witted mare if needed. Just who did Calypso think she was?! A half demon! Half of her blood was of mortal origin and the other half was a sad excuse for a fae. Jeweline, Dawn and Ellie on the other hand were fae to their very bone, when also not quite as strong as some of them. But in a duel between a half demon and a Caspana, the Caspana would always come out victorious. This mare had not the slightest chance against a Caspana, let alone three of them.
When Dawn eventually gave the order to move out, Jeweline walked at the front next to Dawn. "I know we drag her along mainly to keep an eye on her, but do you really think it is smart on the long run? Even if she is not fae, she behaves exactly like an Unseelie and I wouldn't want to take a risk there. We both have our fair share experiences with Unseelie behavior after all. To work together with one has never been a good idea. She could get us into quite a lot of trouble even without actively doing much." She said to the draft mare. At the latter she thought about Sylk. Worst person she had ever been on a mission with. Non-mission-wise she thought of Melody. While bearable, that little witch was a whole league to herself.
As suddenly a stallion appeared, who seemed to be accustomed with Serket, it did not take Ellie's help to find out that he was not a mortal either. As expected from the company of a witch. Jewelien thought. As he started to compliment Dawn, Calyso and her, Jeweline just shook her head in amusement. Those obvious advances were just like back in summer camp. Both annoying and flattering. He departed as quickly as he appeared, which was good. They didn't need another questionable companion on this mission.
Her attention was again drawn to those further back when the hooded mare suddenly raised her head and looked at the tree tops. Jeweline also raised her head to look out for what the mare could have spotted, but saw nothing. Had she heard something? Possible. Maybe she was a druid and an air mage at that, which would make her sense of hearing annoyingly precise. Jeweline, for her part, hadn't heard anything and therefore was left to wonder what had attracted the mare's attention. When looking back, she nodiced that the hood, the mare worn, had fallen down. She had quite a pretty face with a red mane which was brighter at the root than at the hair tips. With her two-coloured eyes she was pretty recognizable, which was probably why she had worn the hood up this entire time. If she was searched for something, then she stood out like a rainbow-coloured wolf. Jeweline cast her attention forward again though. The trail that was left was not made up of some kind of prints or fur, but of chicken feathers and sometimes even bones. Whoever this thief was, they could fly.

Cornelia | Poor
"Ough!" "Tito! Move away or I kick your ass to the moon!" Serket yelled at him. Cornelia giggled. She rarely saw this side of Serket. She liked it. Unexpected, she heard a giggle from one of the mares with a hood too, who had been close. She had been so quiet the whole time, so to hear her giggle was... nice. So that is the guy I have heard about, Cornelia thougt, while Tito was walking away. She had heard Serket talk about him before, but Cornelia had never actually seen er meet him. He disappeared with the wind chimes as quickly as he had showed up, which was faster than she had gotten a chance to react on him. "Well, he seems... nice" she said, with a hint of sarcasm. Not because he was not nice, he most likely were, but because "smartass" or other similar words might not be completely appropriate for a first impression.
Before she knew, the hood of the mare feel of. She was fast to take it back on, but Cornelia had already seen her. The mare had two different colored eyes, and her mane and head also was quite colorful. "Your hood fell of", Cornelia said. It was calm, and not at all provocative. "You are pretty", she said, with a warm smile. Cornelia never got compliments or comments like these, but she still liked to give them to others. She decided to turn to Serket again. The mare had been so quiet the whole time, so she did not seem like someone who was looking for someone to have a long talk with. Also, the compliment seemed like a good way to simple end the small panic attack this mare have had when her hood fell of.
Cornelia turned her head to Serket to continue their talk, but Cornelia was quiet. She had trouble to find the right words. There was a moment quiet. "Were the wind chimes really for me...?" she said. She looked speechless, as she could not quite understand it. Cornelia grew up in hard environment. She was not used to people showing her respect, help er friendlyness. she was used to beaten, yelling and overall, a very harsh life. She was rarely treated well. And now Serket just showed up to offerd her help. It was a long long time ago since anybody beside her, had offered her that. Cornelia was very grateful for Serket. She was the only one she knew in years to treat her nice.

Ellie|Scout
Ellie walked near the front to the group in case Dawn needed her to do he tracking thing. So far, the trail had been obvious, so Ellie stayed a few strides back slightly behind Calypso. She had over herd Jeweline’s counter threat but said nothing as it was warranted. Her father always told her little sister ‘do not make threats if you cannot handle getting them.’ And Calypso had definitely been making a threat. Ellie planed on setting up a tracing spell if she could get a few of Calypso’s hairs. With the hairs, she would only need to touch them to know where the mare was, and if she was using magic. Instead she was wasting time, energy, magic and half her focus on the spell she was using now. She could tell Jeweline was getting less comfortable with Calypso, but it couldn’t be helped. Better her being a pain for them that tormenting some poor mortal who could not fight back. The stallion that had volunteered seemed to suddenly realize he was the only stallion, and quickly became very uncomfortable. Ellie made a mental note to be a little nicer to him. He seemed to be okay with the little hooded mare though so Ellie would not need to hover and watch. The youngest mare had not spoken to the group yet but was talking to Serket about those chimes. As Serket was answering Ellie’s head shot up someone was coming. She didn’t have a chance to warn the others before the big stallion charged in. While he was big and intimidating he seemed harmless.
"Tito! Move away or I kick your ass to the moon!" Serket yelled at him, Ellie was appalled but the Tito just grinned and did as she asked. Obviously, it was a joke or game between them which settled Ellie’s nerves. She was not fond of violence without reason, but made exceptions for rough play and sparring. Ellie heard a sound above them and further out in the forest. She tried to send a spell out to pinpoint it, but it did not work. “Must be out of my range.” Then she almost kicked herself; the spell she wanted to use on Calypso might work on whatever they were tracking. At least it could get them to wherever it dumped the last of the chicken. Discretely she picked up a feather and tried it. She covered it with an illusion spell that made the trail look like broken branches or scuff marks on the trees, so those with lesser magic or no magic would not be too startled. However, Dawn, and Jeweline could see it, a faint glowing line leading deeper into the woods. Calypso would probably be able to undo the illusion spell, maybe Serket too but that was not a big deal, they probably could do similar things. She heard the young mare speak again.
"Your hood fell off" Ellie turned to see who she was speaking too. It was the young mare who had her hood up the entire trip. The poor thing looked nervous. The first mare finished her thought. "You are pretty". Ellie had to agree. Her mane was a bright, beautiful shade of red that faded at the ends and her eyes were bi-colored “Like Killian.” She thought. The young mare would be easy to spot in a crowd, probably why she had her hood up. With the trail easy to see Ellie dropped back to talk with the others. It was exhausting for her to act so perky and friendly, but the group needed to feel like a team if they were going to get anything done. It was hard to do this, and when it was just her and her herd mates she did not bother to put on the act. It wasn’t that she was not friendly or perky, but she was also painfully shy and very nervous herself. The likelihood of ever seeing any of the group other than her team was very small; she would not have to explain to them later about her personality change later. She would volunteer for guard duty tonight to get some time to herself and recharge. She dropped back between the formerly hooded mare, and the stallion.
“So, you know my name. Could I have yours?” She asked gently. She didn’t want to make them more nervous. She had found before that offering information was often a good way to get it. “My team and I aren’t from Nordberg, we were just here on a visit.”

Dawn | Warrior
Dawn was sure the others would agree that the stallion that showed up, Tito was it, was overly annoying. His behavior was all too familiar to her, something she often received from the young and naive stallions of the herd that just wanted a one night stand. Dawn was kind of lost in her own little world as they traveled through the woods, for the most part she was just keeping track of the trail they were following. It was very clear that whatever they were following wasn't walking on the ground. She was about to ask Ellie what she could deduct from this mess when the hood of the paint mare fell revealing her face. In a small way Dawn was slightly jealous, her mane was beautiful, and her bicolor eyes were fascinating, not too unlike those of Killian back home.
Dawn temporarily left Jeweline lead the way as she dropped back to talk with Ellie and this strange mare. It was about that time that she saw the glow of the line from the spell Ellie had used to help track the beast. Once she was back with the two of them Dawn spoke in a gentle knowing tone, a voice she usually reserved to using with the foals and younglings of the herd back home.
"Hi, As I'm sure you already know my name's Dawn and I'm leading this expedition. Don't worry there is no reason to be shy with me, I myself don't usually take to strangers too well, but Ellie here has helped me get over that quite a bit, even though she is shy most of the time herself." With that Dawn gave a warm smile and playful bump with the mare. Speaking mentally to Ellie she said a few things before moving further into conversation with this paint mare. "Thank you for the tracking spell Ellie, it's making things a lot easier on me."
Dawn moved her attention back to the paint, attempting to make friends with this strange mare. "Not to be weird or anything but I have to say, I'm kind of jealous of your mane, its beautiful. I don't see any reason why you would need to hide it, and your eyes aren't at all as strange as you might think." Dawn swished her tail, even though she was on a mission she was fairly relaxed and she was actually interested in making friends with some of those in the group they were in. It felt nice for her to get to know others and network a little bit, who knew they might be of some help on future missions sometime.

Calypso | Unseelie
Calypso smiled, as Jeweline was the only one who responded to her words with; "Then just make sure to not get in my way either, otherwise I cannot guarantee if it's a monster or you who kisses my blades.". It seemed like the others were too scared to say anything or just weren't aware that she wasn't a normal mortal. But the knabstrupper mare was somehow happy that there was at least someone in the team, who saw her as danger and didn't let such behaviour without consequences. It was like a game. "Oh I see, someone likes to play the badass in the group." Calypso said with a grin, without showing any fear. She started to like the palomino mare because of her sharp tongue.Well aware that there were three strong faes who could probably stop her actions, Calypso didn't plan to attack them or anything. She just wanted to have some fun, playing a game with them. It was too dangerous to take any actions as long as these three were together. The question was only, how she would behave if they would split up.
Suddenly a stallion appeared, that didn't seemed to be a normal mortal. A half demon maybe? Calypso smiled, as he looked at her with a flattering comment. It was always nice to hear such things, even if some stallions said it just to get attention or a one night stand. He seemed to be a good friends with the witch - Serket. He took the wind chimes and disappear as fast as he appeared. The group started moving forward again and Calypso stayed with the three faes at the front. On one side to don't be more suspicious as she already was, but on the other side, she wasn't really interested in the mortals behind her.
"You are pretty" one of the mares said that caught Clysos attention. Curious she looked back, to see about who she was talking about. It looked like the shy mare hid her red mane and two-coloured eyes under her hood, that made her pretty recognizable. Calypso understood why she hides her face from other, but she didn't say anything. The knabstrupper mare was used to see much more weird appearing creatures that lived in Jengu, so this wasn't really something unusual in her eyes. It was ridiculous that people freaked out when they saw this innocent and cute looking mare. What would they do, if they would meet the creatures of Jengu? By this thought she had to giggle. It was quite funny, that people didn't know what they really had to fear of.
It was exhausting listening to the boring chit-chat. Why would they even care about the names? Why would they even care about the mortals at all? This sure was no kindergarten, although Calypso felt like she was surrounded by little children. They would tell there names if they want, if not she was fine with it, it's not like she cared. Is this really a mission? And are they really such great warriors like they keep talking? Calypso thought, while she was looking at the three faes. The only one who was getting her attention was the palomino mare - Jeweline. She was the only one acting and speaking like a true and powerful warrior.

Illucid [ stallion | independent | criminal ]

"I like to go on adventures," Illucid answered quickly. It wasn't an honest answer, but it also wasn't a total lie. In fact, Illucid loved adventures and anything with a hint of a danger. Actually, the more dangerous, the better. The idea of finding this thief thrilled him. The real reason was because he couldn't keep competing. Not that he had a habit of stealing livestock, but Illucid did rely on the city to feed him, and if they were all on edge with this new criminal running around, finding food would be even harder. The young stallion was already struggling to stay well fed, what with his conscience usually getting the best of him. This wasn't how it was supposed to be.
While he appreciated Miraphy's company, Illucid couldn't help but overhear some of the others and their conversations. He had to stay on his toes to make sure he'd be safe with them. The spotted mare, Calypso he believed, seemed like trouble. The buckskin decided he would try to avoid her if possible. He didn't like her attitude, the way she was addressing them. He wasn't one to challenge for authority, but he was easily urged into competition. He wasn't sure a competition would do him any good between the two of them. The mare with the winds chimes still seemed okay, though Illucid found it strange when a stallion came running up. He decided to ignore this, however. Besides, she seemed to be enjoying the company of the other mare, whose name Illucid wasn't sure he'd caught.
Before he could observe the rest of the group, Illucid's attention was snapped back to his companion. It looked as though something had startled her, but as his large ears swiveled to and fro, he couldn't understand what. Her hood fell, but Illucid saw her before she could get it back up. He wanted to say he was surprised to hear the compliments the others offered her, but he wasn't. Though he'd never admit it out loud, he shyly agreed. She was beautiful, and that was that. He didn't find anything strange about her. This almost distracted him from what had gotten her attention so sharply in the first place. Head tilting, ears straining to catch anything she may have heard, Illucid asked, "W-what is it? Did you hear something?"
And just like that, they were joined by two other mares. Illucid was starting to get dizzy from trying to keep track of them all. Especially since they were all strangers whose names he could barely remember. That made him feel a bit guilty, but he was sure by the end of this little trip he'd have most of their names down. Maybe. He soon found that he was being asked for his name. His name? Was that something he was willing to freely give out? He doubted anyone would know him by name in the city, but there was always that chance. On the other hand, she said she wasn't from the city.. And what could the odds possibly be that anyone outside of Nordberg knew him. Nearly impossible.
"Illucid," replied the buckskin softly, clearing his throat in annoyance at the softness of his voice. Some stallion he was. Could barely speak to a mare, let alone a group of them. The second mare that spoke introduced herself as Dawn, the leader. Oh. That came as a mild shock. Illucid was almost sure the palomino would be the one in charge. But, as an independent, someone who often traveled alone, and as a shy fellow, the young stallion had no say in social orders and wouldn't question their authority. Why the sudden interest in Miraphy though? He wasn't sure. Since neither appeared to be speaking to him directly, he simply walked near the hooded mare without another word.

Serket| Witch
When Tito disappeared, the witch took a short look at the hooded stallion. He seemed to be shy and because of Tito´s and his reaction, she was sure, he wasn´t a friend of his criminal halfdemon friend.
"Then just make sure to not get in my way either, otherwise I cannot guarantee if it's a monster or you who kisses my blades." "Oh I see, someone likes to play the badass in the group." Serket listend to the conversation and rolled her eyes. "Oh come on, it´s not the time for that. You can fight after this mission. or make it now, and we will see who, is the real evil.." She said to Jeweline and Calypso with empty looking eyes. Her head was also layed down and her voice was more like a very dull and melodic flute, than her normal voice.
When Miraphy stopped and lost her hood, she didn´t noticed at first. She was still moving with a swinging head and stopped just a few steps from Miraphy, before running into her. She raised her head a little bit and stared at Mira. With the same ghostly voice she said: "Oh, we saw you. Your also called a witch, aren´t you? Serket allways wanted to meet you, but never had the chance. You heared something, right?" "You are pretty" Serket nodded.
"Were the wind chimes really for me...?" The possessed Serket looked at the brown mare. "Yes, Serket wanted to help you, she really likes you" She answered.

Miraphy | Witch
"W-what is it? Did you hear something?" The stallion asked and Miraphy was about to answer him when Cornelia spoke up. "You are pretty." Miraphy answered that with looking to the side and blushing. It wasn't often that she got compliments like this or even compliments at all. The slightly awkward moment was broken when Serket suddenly ran into her from behind and started speaking in a low, creepy tone.
Miraphy went pale when the mare suddenly recognised her as a witch for everyone to hear. She was this close to just turn tail and run away. This would be idiotic though. She would only do that if the others would try to harm her or sell her out. "I-I'm not a witch, just a collector and a bookworm." Miraphy tried to defend herself. One could barely call what she did dark magic, especially not with how rarely she used it. "And I heard the cry of an animal, but it's gone now and was far away, to begin with." She talked on to deviate from the topic of her being a witch. Then suddenly the paint mare from the front fell back and started to walk beside her. "So, you know my name. Could I have yours?" Ellie asked and the stallion promptly answered in a soft voice. "Illucid." No wonder he had seemed familiar! She had run into him once before and while that had performed an incredibly taxing spell. He had already known her to be a witch but hadn't said anything! How kind of him. "M-M-Miraphy." The paint mare eventually whispered and looked down. She didn't like to tell strangers her name. The less information there was of her the less likely they would find her later on. But it also would be awkward if she was the only one here who didn't tell the group their name. Suddenly also the other mare fell back, leaving Jeweline and Calypso on the front. Dawn started to talk a little and among others introduced herself and announced herself to be the leader of the expedition. What she said next caught Miraphy off-guard. "Not to be weird or anything but I have to say, I'm kind of jealous of your mane, it's beautiful. I don't see any reason why you would need to hide it, and your eyes aren't at all as strange as you might think." The paint mare started to blush heavily. What was it with all the compliments about her looks so suddenly?! That had never happened! Usually, people frowned upon her or whispered behind her back when they thought she wouldn't hear it. Regardless, she was thankful for Dawn's flattering words. "T-thank you." She whispered shyly.
As the palomino mare suddenly stopped, Miraphy craned her neck to see what was the matter. All she could make out was a collection of chicken bones though. She tried to hide her excitement because a fascination of bones was anything but appropriate for someone who tried to convince everyone of not being a witch. Eventually, everyone caught up and assembled around the chicken. Something had gnawed on the bones, leaving slight teeth marks in them. They were not from any animal Miraphy recognised and judging by the ferocity the creature had been eating, it must have been a witless. Or someone who had been crazy hungry. But a thief who stole several chicken all day round was probably not starving. "Does anyone know who could have done this?" Jeweline asked the assembled. Miraphy flattened her ears shyly. "An animal. A person wouldn't have gnawed on the bones like that. I don't know which animal though. It looks like solely sharp teeth, but the jaw must be as small as the one of a marten. It wasn't a marten though, the prints on the ground more look like bird claws than paws." Only when she finished did she notice that she had gone into full analytical mode again and so everyone was looking at her. With a silent squeak, she lowered her head and made a step back. "I-I don't know what it was. Sorry." She added in a whisper.

Jeweline | Warrior
First, Jeweline was the only one to even remotely do something about this half-demon bitch and now, her teammates even left her alone with that unbearable freak. As she had not replied to the mare's previous comment, she now found it fitting to make a statement so that she wouldn't get any funny thoughts. "Seems like they leave me to take out the trash. Quite literally." She threw the mare a look. "Said trash will be you if you don't behave." She mumbled through gritted teeth so that the people behind her wouldn't hear it. Then she gave her mane a practised flip so that it straightened out again. "So tell me, why is an ill-witted creature like you interested in mortal matters? You do realise that none of this concerns you even in the slightest, right?" Jeweline asked, even though she did not expect a real answer. But as long as she would keep the mare talking, she would also have fewer brain cells left to think out a plan to boycott this mission. Under any circumstances, Jeweline was glad about the tracking spell Ellie had cast. It might not directly lead them to the thief, but at least to the rests of a chicken. Said chicken was found more quickly than Jeweline had anticipated. The bones, that were left, had been chewed on heavily, but the one who had done it was nowhere to be seen. Everyone caught up and gathered around the remains of the chicken. "Does anyone know who could have done this?" Jeweline asked since she had no clue. Ellie might be able to identify it correctly. Hopefully. Before the Scout got a chance to do that though, the red-maned paint mare, Jeweline had not caught her name, spoke up and gave a quite simple analysis of the carcass. Claws, sharp teeth, the size of a marten and being able to fly? Jeweline had not clue what it could be. Hopefully, Ellie had an idea.

There are also black scales lying around which are hard to make out since they are half under a bush and are easily mistaken for stones or something else black. Ellie, as a keen Scout, might notice them though. Even if that is the case, the creature that is searched is a rare and unusual one, so even if she draws the conclusion of it being a small Novein (a creature that looks like a tiny dragon), she might have serious doubts about it.

Cornelia | Poor
"Oh come on, it's not the time for that. You can fight after this mission. or make it now, and we will see who, is the real evil.." Serket said. Cornelia had looked at her surprised . This did not seem like how Serket would deal with the situation. And her voice. It was so... different. Emtpy, cold and absent. Was she sick maybe? Had she been the whole time, without she noticed ? But it was even weirder when Miraphy's hood feel of. "Oh, we saw you. Your also called a witch, aren´t you? Serket allways wanted to meet you, but never had the chance. You heared something, right?". This was weird too. And rude. Miraphy had been so nice and shy the whole time. Accuseing her like this out of nowhere? And talking in third person too? Cornelia had never heard her talk like this. "I-I'm not a witch, just a collector and a bookworm, and I heard the cry of an animal, but it's gone now and was far away, to begin with." This was all really weird all of a sudden. Cornelia herd about the "cry of an animal", but she could not focus. Her one and only friend was acting weird, and she was worried. She was sure when she anwered her question about the wind chimes. "Yes, Serket wanted to help you, she really likes you." Serket said. Or, whoever it was. She was a short moment touched by hearing this person saying Serket liked her, but her worry took over again quick. "Vaarn?" Cornelia asked. It was the only ghost she knew, and whoever this was, must know something about Serket, how otherwise would they know so much about her?
The group stopped all of a sudden. Cornelia was in the back, and she could not see why. "Does anyone know who could have done this?" Jeweline asked the group. Cornliea being back, squeezed her way up front. Like back at the very begining, no one noticed her. When she came and saw it, Miraphy had already explained her theory. A witless creature, small jaws and bird-like feets. When Cornelia saw it herself, she did agree. "I-I don't know what it was. Sorry." Mirapgt said. "Don't be sorry" Cornelia said, and gave her a warm smile one again. She remembered before when she had called her pretty, after that, it did not take long before half of the grop started alking with her. Was it her fault? She shakked the thought out. Concentrate, she thought to herself. "It is chicken bones, if that means anything", she said, just to add something. Huh, all the cooking did actually pay off, she thought. She had been working with raw chicken many times before, so she could easily recognize what kind of animal it was."Funny how everything that have been killed is birds. Two hens before, a turkey and now another chicken. Wait, Miraphy." Cornelia said. "Did you not say that you heard something before? a ''cry of an animal'' or something. It might be just be a coincidence, but could it maybe be related...?"
